Seven members of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) engineering unit were martyred in al Qusour, Deir Ezzor on 22 November. They were engaged in the dismantling of land mines and explosive devices left behind by retreating ISIS (Daesh, ISIL, IS) terrorists.
Deir Ezzor Police Chief Bilal Mahmoud told SANA that while engaged in the meticulous work of sappers, one of the explosive devices exploded. Five other members were injured; the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Terrorist landmines continue to cause what could be called a slow genocide of the Syrian people. The UN’s Mine Action Service (UNMAS) has provided ample evidence of its uselessness in aiding the Levantine Republic in clearing explosive ordinances.
Way back in July 2018, Director Agnes Marcaillou brought her entourage to Damascus, to sign an MoU which gave “UNMAS the right to support the efforts of the Syrian state to clear mines in order to save the lives of Syrian citizens from the serious effects of the mines planted by the armed terrorist groups in the places where they had been positioned during the years of crisis in Syria.”
Almost sixteen months later, Marcaillou addressed the Security Council to give a meticulous census on the numbers of Syrians murdered and maimed by landmines that UNMAS has failed to help Syria clear.
It is not as though UNMAS is all talk and no action; its Twitter account is filled with cheerful reports of on the ground demining in other countries. It has also told the world that most victims of explosives are children; possibly the inference to be made is that children in Syria are excluded from the concern of this department of the NATO junta which dictates how the countless UN diplomats are to function.

One day after specially trained Syrian Arab Army soldiers were slaughtered during the de-mining of explosives left behind by NATO-supported terrorists, a bomb planted in a vehicle was remotely detonated killing SAA soldier Martyr Abdul Hakim Ali Jassim Al Muhammad in the Nabi’a al Saklur village in the southern countryside of Quneitra. His body was taken to the Mamdouh Abaza Hospital.
The explosion also wounded a civilian, who was hit by flying shrapnel. He is reported to be in stable condition.

Maybe it’s a matter of where the car that was carrying the bomb was parked that a grenade or what not wasn’t tossed in the car to destroy the first bomb. Terrible loss of lives.
