Syrian President Assad inspects Army Soldiers in Daraya

Syria: Army’s Day – Assad inspects troops.

The Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has not only stated that he is absolutely convinced about the victory of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) over the foreign-backed terrorists and Al-Qaeda-linked groups on Syrian soil on the Army’s Day of the Arab nation, but the Syrian President has also visited the town of Daraya, which is near the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad visited the Syrian army troops on site in the town of Daraya in order to inspect the army soldiers on the occasion of Syria’s Army Day – according to the reports by Syrian media. In addition, it is certain that Bashar al-Assad also wanted to set a sign for the many Syrian soldiers fighting against the foreign-supported terrorist groups and the Syrian Al-Qaeda offshoot (Jabhat al-Nusra / al-Nusra Front) on Syrian soil since many months now.

Although the liberation of the strategically important Syrian city of Homs from the foreign-supported terrorist groups in their last occupied areas in the western city of Homs by the Syrian Arab army (SAA) is imminent and while the countryside of Damascus gets increasingly “cleaner”, it is certain that the war against terrorism on Syrian soil will still last for an not foreseeable time.

Bashar al-Assad has visited the city of Daraya on Thursday, and it seems that this visit has also been the first known public trip outside Damascus of the Syrian President since March 2012, although this is only the first known public trip outside the capital since over a year by the Syrian President. It is to assume that he has left the capital in the time from March 2012 to today on some occasions, which are not known in public.

According to the report of the Syrian state television, Syrias President Bashar al-Assad has inspected a unit of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) in Daraya and talked with several Syrian soldiers. The report about the visit of Syrian army troops in the town of Daraya near the capital Damascus comes after the statement about the victory of the Syrian troops against the foreign-backed terrorist groups.

Bashar al-Assad said on Syria’s Army Day in a message to all soldiers of the Syrian army that he is “sure of the victory” over the foreign-supported terrorists and that he completely believes in the strength of the Syrian Arab army (SAA).

Syrian President al-Assad said further in his message to the Syrian troops that if the people in Syria were not sure of the victors of the Syrian Arab army (SAA), they would not have had the will to resist nor been able to persevere in the face of more than two years of aggression and by using the term aggression, he clearly speaks of the foreign-backed terrorism, the bloodshed, violence, tortures, rapes, and such massacres as recently carried out by a terrorist groups against over 120 Syrians in the town of Khan al-Assal near the Syrian city of Aleppo.

The town of Daraya was held by a lot of foreign-supported terrorists for several months till the units of the Syrian army have regained the full control of the town near the capital Damascus earlier this year.

The Syrian forces in the strategically important city of Homs are currently carrying out several military operations in the districts of al-Qarabis, Jouret el-Shayah, and Varsha in Homs in order to destroy the last terrorist hideouts and the nests of terrorists in their last occupied small areas of the city of Homs.
