Israel Bombs Damascus and Aleppo Airports Risking Escalation

Israel bombed Syria’s two main commercial airports, Damascus International Airport, and Aleppo International Airport amidst its campaign of war crimes against the Palestinians trapped in the Gaza Strip after the humiliation of its military at the hands of fighters from the Gaza besieged concentration camp.

A Syrian military spokesperson said in a statement carried by the Syrian news agency SANA:

“At approximately 1:50 p.m. this afternoon, the Israeli enemy simultaneously carried out an air attack with bursts of missiles, targeting the international airports of Aleppo and Damascus, which led to damage to the airports’ landing strips taking them out of service.”

The Syrian military statement added:

“This aggression is a desperate attempt by the criminal Israeli enemy to divert attention from the crimes it is committing in Gaza, and the great losses it is suffering at the hands of the Palestinian resistance. It is part of the ongoing approach to supporting the extremist terrorist groups that the Syrian Army is fighting in the north of the country, and which constitutes an armed arm of the Israeli entity, and the Syrian Arab Army will continue to pursue and strike it until the country is cleansed of it.”

It’s been 10 days since the latest Israeli aggression against Syria to alleviate the pressure off its proxy terrorist groups, especially in the northeastern Syrian provinces of Idlib, Aleppo, Latakia, and Hama.

On the 2nd of October, Israel and its US sponsor carried out a series of terrorist bombings against posts of the Syrian Arab Army in Deir Ezzor, northeast of Syria, and destroyed a main bridge at the Syrian-Iraqi borders in the Syrian Al Bukamal area.

Today’s bombings are exceptionally significant as Israel is trying to compensate for the humiliating defeat its IDF army received at the hands of fighters on motorcycles and foot from the besieged Gaza Strip last Friday, 6 days ago. Within a few hours only, the Palestinian fighters stormed at least 12 Israeli heavily fortified military bases and settlements, killing hundreds of the IDF soldiers and arresting dozens including top officers taking them back with them to the besieged Gaza Strip to exchange them with hundreds of Palestinian children and women kidnapped by the Israelis and held in illegal detention centers for many years already.

The US and other European countries, as expected, have come to the support of their Israel project similar to their frenzy in supporting the Kiev regime and against all their previously stated claims of upholding freedoms, democracy, and other humane values which are now used as case studies of sheer hypocrisy.

It was reported that the Junta of the US Biden has been sending messages asking both Syria and Iran not to defend the people of Gaza while Israel is slaughtering the Palestinian children there, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 60% of the victims of the Israeli war crimes against Gaza are children.

Yesterday, Israel unprovokedly bombed southern Lebanon killing two Hezb Allah fighters which the Hezb responded by killing at least 2 Israeli IDF terrorists, and today it is bombing Syrian airports trying to drag Syria into its war after the US’s alleged warnings.

We believe that the general policy of the Axis of Resistance is to let the Palestinian factions in Gaza fight against Israel, and if Israel invades Gaza by land or the USA joins Israel in its war on the Palestinian children of Gaza, the Lebanese Hezb Allah will enter the war to defend Gaza and then Syria and then Iran and the rest of the Axis of Resistance including Yemen and the Iraqi PMU if needed.

Now, Israel is trying to expand its war into a regional war as it is obvious its failure in Gaza and its need to keep the USA militarily in the region to defend it as it sees its force deteriorating rapidly.

There’s an unsettled score after the previous Israel and US bombing of Syrian posts earlier this month, the Syrian Resistance has vowed to bomb the US military illegally occupying the main oil fields in Syria and in the Al Tanf area each time Israel bombs Syria. Now, there is an additional score to be settled by the Syrian Resistance, unless the Axis of Resistance strikes back at Israel.

The main blow the Syrian Arab Army and its allies can deliver to Israel is to eliminate Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists in northern Syria which will break the backbone of the US-led NATO-sponsored powers of evil in the region.
