Aleppo Airport Restored to Fully Operational after Israel Bombed It

Aleppo International Airport has been restored to normal activity three days after the Israeli war crime bombing and destroying its runways.

‘Air traffic has resumed through Aleppo International Airport as of today, Friday, September 9, 2022, at 12:00 noon local time,’ a statement by the Syrian Ministry of Transportation conveyed by the state news agency Sana reported.

The ministry’s statement clarified that “the cadres of the General Establishment for Civil Aviation, in cooperation with our national companies, repaired the damage caused by the Israeli aggression that targeted the airport last Tuesday night.”

Bombing civilian airports especially during operations is a war crime no matter what NATO and its stooges try to justify for their puppet advanced war launchpad Israel’s criminal actions. Israel continues to take advantage of the blanket cover provided to it by its NATO sponsors.

NATO-controlled United Nations Security Council remains mute over these repeated violations of the international humanitarian law in regards to the protection of civilians, international law, the UN Charter, basic rules of engagement in conflicts, and the regulations of IATA, the International Air Transport Association which many of its members operate in Syria and as well in Israel itself and a Syrian retaliation in kind against Israeli airports and seaports will not be met with a similar silence from the self-proclaimed international community.

The resumption of operations in Aleppo International Airport is a show of resilience on the part of the Syrian state, no matter what kind of terrorism and by which terrorist organization, be it Al Qaeda, ISIS, Israel, or the US army acting as oil thieves and international terrorists, the Syrian state will rebuild and carry on.

We are certain that the military retaliation will come at a higher price than the Israelis would imagine, not in kind in a tit-for-tat war, it will come in a hefty price that will make the Israelis regret their crimes just like how they regretted their war of aggression on Lebanon in 2006, and their subsequent wars of aggression on Gaza which eventually made the once claimed invincible army to a state only the PIJ, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, is able to deliver a humiliating defeat to it.

Airliners operating through Aleppo International Airport were called upon to resume their work and to schedule their departing and arriving flights from today, September 9, 2022, at 12:00 noon, the statement of the Syrian Ministry of Transportation concluded.
