China succeeded in mending one of the most complex political, diplomatic, and security issues in the Arab and Islamic world bringing the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Saudi Kingdom to agree on restoring diplomatic ties and work on normalizing the relations between the two major Islamic countries.
Chinese diplomacy managed to fix what the US and Israel worked decades to destroy, the relations between the two Islamic regional heavyweight rivals whose rivalry has broken the Arab and Islamic world and incited dozens of conflicts with the Saudi regime sponsoring every radical terrorist group to counter the Iranian presence across the Islamic world.
A joint tripartite statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the People’s Republic of China took the world by surprise detailing the results of the four days negotiations that took place in Beijing under the Chinese patronage between senior officials from the two Islamic countries:
Joint Trilateral Statement by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the People’s Republic of China

Proceeding from their shared desire to resolve the disagreements between them through dialogue and diplomacy, and in light of their brotherly ties;
Adhering to the principles and objectives of Charters of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and International conventions and norms;
The delegations from the two countries held talks during the period 6-10 March 2023 in Beijing – the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by His Excellency Dr. Musaad bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and National Security Advisor, and the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by His Excellency Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Saudi and Iranian sides expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Republic of Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman for hosting rounds of dialogue that took place between both sides during the years 2021-2022. The two sides also expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the leadership and government of the People’s Republic of China for hosting and sponsoring the talks, and the efforts it placed towards its success.
The three countries announce that an agreement has been reached between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which includes an agreement to resume diplomatic relations between them and re-open their embassies and missions within a period not exceeding two months, and the agreement includes their affirmation of the respect for the sovereignty of states and the non-interference in internal affairs of states. They also agreed that the ministers of foreign affairs of both countries shall meet to implement this, arrange for the return of their ambassadors, and discuss means of enhancing bilateral relations. They also agreed to implement the Security Cooperation Agreement between them, which was signed on 22/1/1422 (H), corresponding to 17/4/2001, and the General Agreement for Cooperation in the Fields of Economy, Trade, Investment, Technology, Science, Culture, Sports, and Youth, which was signed on 2/2/1419 (H), corresponding to 27/5/1998.

End of the statement
Syria has been the link to contain the regional ties between the rising Iran and the US-controlled Saudi Arabia ever since the revolution in Iran which threw away the Shah, the US puppet dictator of Iran in 1979 until the US-led war of terror with the contribution of the Saudi-led Arab world on Syria in March 2011.
Syria paid a hefty price trying to contain that relationship for decades with a Saudi-led block in the Arab and Islamic world to undermine the leadership in Syria. Syria’s role was evident in a number of countries in which the Saudis sow troubles in their sectarian war against Iran on behalf of the USA and in turn on behalf of Israel, these countries include Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, and Iraq post the US invasion, and other Islamic countries.
The Saudis and their Qatari minions emptied their coffers and dropped all religious, social, and political taboos that to help the USA and Israel wage another destructive war against Syria on behalf of the USA and Israel, in their last attempt to further spread the US hegemony through the Saudis, Qataris, Turkish proxies across the Levant and to deliver the final blow to the Iranian economy by extending a Qatari gas pipeline through Syria to Europe bypassing both Iran and Russia.
Syria’s refusal to join the US project in isolating Iran and Russia and to dry up their oil and gas-dependent economies by this Qatari gas pipeline left it alone facing an unprecedented war waged against it by the world’s superpowers and super-rich countries funding, arming, training and sending tens of thousands of anti-Islamic Al Qaeda and ISIS suicide bombers and head-choppers to wreak havoc in the last secular country to justify the status of an apartheid Jewish state in occupied Palestine dubbed Israel.
Syria will welcome this Iranian Saudi rapprochement, especially since it was sponsored by China and not under any pressure from the USA or any of its European vassals.
Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and other countries in the region will breathe relaxingly as they will see reduced Saudi-sponsored sectarian terrorist attacks and direct bombing by this rapprochement. The Saudis will have no excuse for supporting terrorist and radical sectarian groups in these countries to undermine what they call Iranian influence.
The most upset party in such a rapprochement is Israel, it was expecting an Arab NATO comprising of the Arab Gulfies sheikhdoms under its leadership to finally control the region, instead, it is now seeing the main linchpin in this mix-up military alliance.
Israel’s resentment can be seen in this hysterical tweet by its former prime minister war criminal Yair Lapid:
Machine translation: “The agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran is a complete and dangerous failure of the Israeli government’s foreign policy. This is a collapse of the regional defense wall that we started building against Iran. This is what happens when you deal with the legal madness all day instead of doing the job with Iran and strengthening relations with the USA.”
The White House crazies (the Adults) will go bonkers over this rapprochement, especially after Biden’s junta failure in dealing with the Saudis after a very hostile Democrats campaign against the Saudi de facto ruler, Prince Muhammad Bin Salman and Biden vowing to treat him as a pariah.
We have to appreciate the Chinese diplomacy and long patience, the intelligence of its leadership has managed to achieve a miracle, if the Saudis will follow through on their agreements, sadly, the Saudis have a history of plotting secretly contrary to their public policies.
Will this rapprochement end the criminal US-sponsored Saudi-led war on Yemen? The Saudi sponsorship of the anti-Islamic terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq? The ongoing sectarian strife in Bahrain? The spreading of the anti-Islamic Wahhabi doctrine in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, and elsewhere? We sure hope so, and we hope that these tasks are not passed to Qatar to take the front seat while the Saudis lead from the back like what they did in the NATO-backed colored revolutions that destroyed the Arab world dubbed the Arab Spring.
