China Delivers One Hundred Public Buses to Syria as Humanitarian Aid

China gifts Syria 100 public transport buses as humanitarian aid الصين تمنح سورية 100 باص للنقل الداخلي العام

China delivered one hundred public transport buses to Syria as part of its continuous support for the Syrian people and their state who are steadfastly facing Western-led persecution and unilateral sanctions for over eleven years. This is the second one hundred buses gifted from China to Syria within the past three years.

Receiving the Chinese generous gift, Syrian officials expressed their gratitude to the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese people and their appreciation for the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries and two peoples in all fields.

The Chinese ambassador to Damascus, on his part and on behalf of his government, appreciated the Syrian people’s struggle in the face of Western-led oppression and vowed further support to Syria through the Belt and Road initiative which memorandum was signed last year.

Engineer Hussein Makhlouf, Minister of Local Administration and Environment: Today, this batch of 100 public transport buses was received from the People’s Republic of China as a gift to the Syrian people, truly represents the depth of the friendship rooted in the history that unites the Syrian Arab Republic with the People’s Republic of China, whose bases are established by President Bashar al-Assad and Xi Jinping, and is always reflected in cooperation in all domains.

Engr. Makhlouf: We always see China in its positive and supportive stances for the Syrian state in its legitimate right to fight terrorism, and today we extend an invitation to all Chinese companies, especially in the field of solid waste recycling, electricity generation, gas, and fertilizers. The Chinese ambassador promised to inform the Chinese companies on this subject, the door is open in all fields so that our friends in the People’s republic of China will be our partners in building this country, and the invitation is open to all Chinese companies to contribute to the reconstruction and in all disciplines.

Chinese Ambassador in Damascus: Feng Biao: This aid and support for the Syrian people is support and support for the steadfastness of the Syrian people, especially in light of the crisis that has lasted for more than ten years and Syria has remained steadfast and firm in the face of all persecution and unilateral sanctions. We consider Syria a partner and a close friend, and we signed the Belt and Road Memorandum of Understanding and held a meeting of the joint committee. The two countries have a more than excellent relationship. We exchange support on issues that concern both of us. Syria always supports the principle of One China. It stands in the face of the West’s attempts to politicize the human rights situation in China, just in order to demonize China’s image on the international scene, while they (the West) are violating these rights.
