The Syrian Army foiled a terrorist attack targeting the maternity hospital in Daraa city, southern Syria by blowing up an IED planted near the entrance of the hospital.
A sound of an explosion shook the quiet morning of Thursday 30 March 2023 in the city of Daraa coming from the Daraa Al Mahatta area, the Police Command in Daraa explained the source of the explosion sound in a statement carried by the Syrian news agency SANA:
“The Engineering Corps of the Syrian Arab Army dealt with an explosive device that could not be dismantled near the entrance to the Maternity Hospital in the Daraa al-Mahatta area, and it was detonated after taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens and hospital visitors.”
The Maternity Hospital is part of the National Hospital complex in the center of the city.
“The explosion caused limited material damage to the hospital fence and the street, but no injuries were reported,” the statement by the Daraa Police Command concluded.
There were no further updates on the explosion by the time of this report, no party claimed responsibility for this heinous act targeting a maternity hospital within a large medical complex especially hours after a night in which all the Syrians were following the updates of the Israeli heinous terrorist attack bombing their capital city Damascus.
Most political and security analysts point their fingers toward the activities of the illegal US Army base in the Al Tanf region which hosts hundreds of the remnants of ISIS-affiliated terrorists who fled the province of Daraa after the Syrian Arab Army liberated it in two waves, in 2018 and 2021.
In addition to the terrorists, the illegal US Army base in Al Tanf oversees the infamous Al Rukban concentration camp in which, the US Army and its proxy ISIS-affiliated terrorists hold thousands of Syrian civilians hostages in the depth of the Syrian southeastern desert at the border junction with Jordan and Iraq.
The coordinated attacks by the US Army, Israel, al Qaeda, ISIS (ISIL – Daesh) terrorists, and the Kurdish SDF separatist terrorists on all fronts in Syria in addition to the acts of aggression and ongoing crimes against humanity by the regime of the Turkish madman Erdogan in the north are signs of desperation after the NATO ‘defensive’ alliances humiliating loss in Ukraine and the growing friction within the herds of the radical anti-Jewish Zionist European and former Soviet Republic settlers in occupied Palestine.

I was reading the other day where most great civilizations come to an abrupt end when their moon’s come crashing into their home planet; certainly a rough and violent ending to otherwise intelligent life forms; but I would certainly expect it to be the most likely end for this planet with people of the likes of the Ukraine, Israel and the USA.
If the attack had succeeded, Western Media would have turned it into “Assad bombs own hospital”. Very glad it was foiled (but not just for that reason!).
Still, imagine the horrors from the sound of the explosion among the patients, mothers who just delivered and those about to, and the newborns.. not to mention the rest of the entire hospital complex patients and staff.. it had to be blown up in place as they couldn’t dismantle it.
