The Syrian Ministry of Health updated the toll of the COVID-19 cases in Syria with the addition of 26 new positive cases today.
The ministry in its statement also mentioned that the total of recorded cases in the country is as of today 522 cases since the first case recorded on the 22nd of March earlier this year.
Out of the total cases recorded, 29 have died while testing positive with the COVID-19 virus so far; where 154 cases have been cured.
Syria has relaxed some of the strict measures earlier applied which also postponed the Syrian Parliament elections from 14 March to yesterday 19 July 2020. The Syrian economy resumed working slowly but carefully in most fields, while the ministry of health emphasizes the need to be cautious as much as possible.
Most of the cases were recorded among Syrians recently brought back to the country by efforts of the Syrian authorities from highly infected countries.
The Syrian people face a pandemic worse than COVID-19 which all Western and regional officials are infected with shifting their focus from fighting the COVID-19 outbreak and its ramifications in their countries and the troubles of their own economies and social disintegrating to working hard to punish the Syrian people for winning over the US-sponsored ISIS and its affiliates through increasing the support to the assorted terrorist groups operating in Syria, and increasing the inhumane sanctions they impose on the Syrian people.
