Shortly before midnight yesterday, Israel bombed the outskirts of a city in the southern Damascus Countryside. Israeli paratroopers raided the area, while the leader of Al Qaeda HTS and his top officials were celebrating the opening of the Damascus International Fair on the other side of the Syrian capital.
Locals reported hearing the sounds of explosions about 11:30 pm yesterday, Wednesday 27th of August, at the outskirts of the Al Kiswah town, roughly about 6 kilometers to the south of the Syrian capital Damascus, and later, the Al Qaeda HTS media released a statement shortly after 1 am today, stating:
“On August 26, during a field tour near Jabal al-Manea, south of Damascus, members of the Syrian Arab Army found surveillance and eavesdropping devices in the area.”
The statement added:
“While attempting to deal with the equipment, the site was subjected to an Israeli airstrike, resulting in the deaths of several people, injuries to others, and the destruction of vehicles.”
Al Qaeda HTS vague statement continued:
“Airstrikes and drone attacks continued to prevent access to the area until the evening of August 27. Meanwhile, army units destroyed some of the systems using appropriate weapons and retrieved the bodies of the martyrs.
And concluded with: “Israeli aircraft subsequently launched several raids on the site, followed by an airdrop, the details of which are yet to be determined, amid continued intensive reconnaissance flights.”
Some locals said they counted more than 15 air bombings carried out by Israel against the target late yesterday night. This would be the second Israeli bombing of the same town within the past 24 hours.
A bombing and an incursion of a site less than 6 kilometers from the Syrian capital, and the regime of Al Qaeda HTS releases a shy statement barely describing the attack without giving any details on the site bombed by the Israelis, and how Syria, under their rule, will respond, and without any condemnation of the Israeli bombing and incursion.
Meanwhile, the head of Al Qaeda HTS Al Jawlani was celebrating the opening of the International Damascus Fair without any reference to the massacres of the Syrian people by his thugs, or the continuous Israeli violation of Syria’s territories, as if Israel is acting under an understanding with the terrorist group it helped topple the Syrian government to install them in its place!
Worth noting that the Syrian Arab Army under the command of President Bashar Al Assad had standing orders to fire back at any bombing or incursion, that the Israelis would only bomb Syria from behind the borders out of fear of losing more fighter jets after the After 17 Months Cover-Up they Admitted: Syria Shot Down the Israeli F16, except for the times they use the US air corrider in southeast Syria or hide behind Russian airplanes.
Also worth noting that since October 1973, not a single Israeli soldier has ever stepped one inch inside Syrian territories, while now, under Al Qaeda HTS, the Israeli army is having free movement in the three southern Syrian provinces of Daraa, Quneitra, and Damascus Countryside.
