Geneva II: United States has cancelled a meeting with Russia over Syria.
The U.S. administration in Washington has finally postponed a pre-planned meeting with officials from Russia to debate about the conflict and crisis in Syria because there are some discrepancies between Russia and the United States in terms of the rating of the recent events near the Syrian capital, Damascus – e.g. the allegedly use of chemical weapons by the units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) against foreign-supported terrorists and even Syrian civilians in Jobar, a suburb of the capital in Syria.
However, while Washington supports the media campaign against the Syrian government and President Bashar al-Assad and even claims to have evidence for the allegations that Syrian units used chemical weapons, the Russian side in Moscow stated already that there is no evidence for the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian forces in Syria and the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, further said that the Western forces should please present their alleged evidence for their claims against the Syrian government and that, while France, UK and Washington speak about the evidence, these Western governments have not shown the alleged evidence until now.
The American war rhetoric against Syria in order to boost the possibility of a military intervention in the Arab nation has increased although there is no evidence for the stated allegations against the Syrian military and government under President Bashar al-Assad in Syria’s capital, Damascus.
Some sides in Washington want to launch another senseless but violent war against a country in the Middle East. The U.S. banksters, war profiteers, the Zionists of the Israel Lobby and some others who think that the United States will benefit from this war. Of course, the American people will not benefit from a war against Syria.
Further, the Syrian people will not benefit from a military intervention by foreign forces (US military, Britain, France, NATO forces) against their Arab nation. A possible war against Syria will only cause more violence and bloodshed. Not to mention the chaos and possible results for and in the Middle East.
In addition, several political analysts and experts of the events in the Middle East have already explained and underlined that a war against Syria could trigger the next world war – WWIII (in terms of Russia, China and Iran, of course).
Although the allegations by Washington against the Syrian government and President Bashar al-Assad are so far not underlined by published evidence for these claims, the U.S. administration acted like a “sulky kid” and cancelled the pre-planned meeting with Russian officials to talk about the Syrian conflict. The U.S. Department of State announced yesterday that this meeting between the dangerous U.S. Ambassador to Syria, Robert Ford (“Salvador Option“), and Undersecretary Wendy Sherman with their Russian counterparts in The Hague was cancelled and is finally postponed.
The officials from Washington and Moscow wanted to meet in this week in order to debate the preparations and conditions for the next planned international conference on Syria in Geneva (Geneva II). However, a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador Robert Ford in terms of Syria is so or so never a good sign for the Syrian people. Robert Ford is a criminal and murderer, nothing else.
According to the statements of the U.S. Department of State, the officials from the United States have cancelled the meeting with their Russian counterparts in The Hague due to Washington’s ongoing review of the chemical weapons attack in Syria. The statements by the U.S. Department further says that Washington tries to reschedule the meeting because “it is imperative that” the U.S. administrations “reaches a comprehensive and durable political solution to the crisis in Syria,” according to a senior official of the U.S. Department of State.
Meanwhile, the Syrian government in Damascus has allowed the UN chemical weapons inspectors to also investigate the site of the alleged chemical attack near the capital, in Jobar.
The Foreign Ministry of Syria announced the allowance for the UN team to also investigate this site of the alleged chemical weapons attack in Jobar on Sunday. Washington replied to the statement from Damascus that the “Syrian offer” would be too late (for what?).
The U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, although he said to the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem that the U.S. military will not launch a military intervention in Syria, accused the Syrian government in Damascus today that it has used chemical weapons against Syrian civilians. This is just another part of the war rhetoric against Syria that is useful for the war profiteers, Zionists and U.S. plans for and in the Middle East.
