The World Health Organization has confirmed that there has been no case of coronavirus — COVID-19 — in the Syrian Arab Republic. The WHO works with Syria’s Ministry of Health on a daily basis to “ensure that preparedness measures are taken for the disease.”
The Eastern Mediterranean Region Office (EMRO) has provided the Ministry of Health’s laboratories with essential tools to diagnose 1,000 persons for the coronavirus.
