The Ukrainian army has launched an operation against pro-autonomy Activists in the eastern town of Sloviansk. The army and to ensure full Siege of the city by Draining it from its support, ammo supplies, etc…to ensure the success of the operation.
However, 20 helicopters were deployed to be able to drain and weaken the self-defense forces deployed inside the city.
In addition news, about 2 helicopters being shot down was true and confirmed by RIA Novosti news agency with two pilots dead and another one captured.
This information was confirmed by Ukraine’s coup-appointed Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
Following the loss of the aircraft, Kiev halted its operation.

The total death toll in Sloviansk currently stands at three: besides the two troops, reports from both sides talk about injuries in both between the line of both
Also, a journalist’s car has been fired on, and press cars were stopped by the Ukrainian army who seems to be blocking all entrances to the city – and even Kramatorsk.
The Sloviansk self-defense leader said that helicopters were firing on the city with missiles, no reports talked about city damage, Interfax stated.
Sloviansk self-defense forces told RIA Novosti that the Ukrainian military had attacked several positions.
“The attack is targeting a few checkpoints at the same time. A few armored vehicles and airborne combat vehicles arrived and airborne troops descended from the helicopters and attacked the checkpoints. Some forces were dropped off around the train station, where we didn’t have anyone,” RIA Novosti quoted the press secretary of the Sloviansk self-defense units as saying.
On the other hand, few of the activists were injured during the attack, Interfax cited the city’s self-defense unit as saying.
A commander at one of the checkpoints told RIA Novosti that the Ukrainian army have controlled one of the roadblocks and the broadcasting center and mounted on it some artillery for defense and for preparation to start an operation inside the city.

Meanwhile, the OSCE is trying to reach the Ukrainian authorities in an attempt to stop the military operation in the country, after a request from Russia.
