Syria: Hezbollah Fighters Reached Borders with Jordan

Syrian Arab Army

Fighters of Hezbollah pushed forward very quickly into the south of Syria, and they have already reached the embattled city of Daraa near the Syrian border with Jordan.

Affiliated sources of Hezbollah have reported to the Kuwaiti newspaper al-Qabas, that Hezbollah fighters played an important role in helping the Syrian army to get back the full control of the strategically important city Kherbet Ghazleh on the overland road, which connects the capital Damascus with Jordan.

Hezbollah is equipped like a professional army:

It was stressed that fighters of Hezbollah are not the only groups, which are supporting the Syrian army, but complete combat units with their own logistics, commanded and armed by the military command of Hezbollah. Last week, the foreign terrorists had to withdraw from the the city of Khirbet Ghazaleh after several days of battles.

On Monday of last week, Syrian army soldiers went from house to house in order to secure the city and they also opened the the overland road, so that the supply line between the capital Damascus and the provincial capital of Daraa is restored.

Sources of the opposition confirmed that the terrorists had to retreat from their stronghold in Khirbet, from where they had also controlled Daraa and the arms flow from Jordan into Syria. They claim that the defeat just happened because the military leadership of the terrorists in Jordan that is controlled by the Jordan intelligence service, has delivered no more replenishment.

The leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has recently acknowledged that members of his group are fighting in Syria, and he hinted that Iran and other countries could assist the Syrian government in the fight against foreign terrorists.

If Hezbollah is now fighting in Syria, side to side with the Syrian army, then it is very clear why the terrorists are losing and why they are in decline.

It is a very well-trained and motivated elite squad with the experiences from the Lebanon War of 2006. These men brought a painful defeat to the Israeli army in this war.

The leadership of Hezbollah knows the consequences, if the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is overthrown and when the radical Islamists of the al-Nusra Front and others take over the power in Syria.

In this case, then they are themselves even extremely vulnerable in their existence in their stronghold in Lebanon. The assistance in order to clean Syria from the foreign-backed terrorists is of vital importance.
