After the United Arab Emirates were not pleased with the deportation of three alleged “too handsome” Emiratis in Saudi Arabia, the security forces of the UAE have broken up a terrorist group which was reportedly linked to al-Qaeda.
According to the official statements about the success of the security forces in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group consisted of seven radical persons who were recruiting persons in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for al-Qaeda in order to carry out terrorist attacks for them.
The Emirates News Agency (WAM) published the information about the success of the security forces yesterday. The report stated that the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist cell was already plotting some acts that would have harmed the security of the UAE and also their citizens and all the foreign residents in this Gulf State. About 90 percent of the population of the Persian Gulf State (over 5 million people) are foreign residents.
According to the information, the terrorist cell tried to extend its activities on the territory of the United Arab Emirates and also to reach some other countries in the same region. Thus, it is really a success of the security forces of the UAE that they were able to bust/capture these radical people of this terrorist cell – before they were able to perform such alleged planned terrorist attacks against the citizens and foreign residents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Of course, as usual, the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist cell was also providing money and logistic support for the militants, while the Arab nationalities of the seven members is allegedly not yet specified but that should be just a matter of time.
Already in last December, the security forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have detained some radical members of another terror cell on their soil. According to the published information, this terror cell wanted to carry out terrorist attacks in the UAE and also in Saudi Arabia.
Even before, in July last year, the security of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was able to dismantle another terrorist group which intended to harm the national security of the Persian Gulf State.
