The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) examines list of Syria’s chemical weapons program.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has published in a statement on Friday that it has received a detailed list by the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus about the chemical weapons program of the Arab country and it is already known that the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will meet in The Hague tomorrow to talk about the Russia-US deal in regards of the placement of Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal under an international control and the destruction of these chemical arms.

The director general of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ahmet Uzumcu, said in this week that the organization will meet in The Hague on Friday. However, the spokesperson Michael Luhan has afterwards announced that the organization will hold a meeting on Syria’s chemical arms arsenal on Sunday at 8:00 o`clock (GMT) (again postponed). The OPCW has afterwards received the list of Syria’s chemical weapons stockpiles by the Syrian government.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is a so-called intergovernmental organisation with its headquarters in The Hague and it is to hope that this organization is more objective than the United Nations (UN) or other “UN agencies. However, the OPCW is not a direct agency of the United Nations (UN) and it is to hope that the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has more neutrality in terms of Syria than the usual biased and/or hypocritically UN organizations.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is the key organisation for the promotion and control of the adherence to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) that prohibits the production and use of chemical weapons and thus, also responsible for the control and observation of the implementation of the points in the US-Russian deal on Syria’s chemical weapons as well as in terms of the joining of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) by Syria.

It is simply said the most relevant organisation for the investigation and control of the stockpiles with chemical arms on Syrian soil. It is to expect that inspectors of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will travel to Syria in order to investigate the arsenals of chemical weapons. However, when and how remains to be seen. The Executive Council of this Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) consists of 41 member states and they will meet tomorrow in The Hague to talk about the US-Russian agreement on Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal as well as about the list of the chemical program in Syria.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has received an “initial declaration” about the chemical weapons program by the government of Bashar al-Assad yesterday. The list of Syria’s chemical weapons program is currently examined by the Technical Secretariat of the OPCW.

The report by Syria’s government on its chemical weapons program is “being reviewed” by the verification division of the OPWC, according to the spokesperson Michael Luhan. The statement also said that the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) with its headquarters in The Hague will not publicize the details in the list of Syria’s chemical weapons program. However, it is to expect that details will so or so leak to the public. Everything else would be a surprise.

And meanwhile, the meeting of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which was planned for Sunday to talk about the Russian-American deal on Syria’s chemical weapons, was postponed. This seems understandably. The OPCW will sure meet in The Hague when the examination of the list of Syria’s chemical weapons program is finished by its Technical Secretariat.

A new date for the meeting of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in terms of Syria’s chemical weapons program, the results of the examination of the detailed list on the chemical weapons program in Syria and on the deal between Russia and the United States to put the chemical weapons arsenals on Syrian soil under an international supervision and for a destruction of these chemical arms will be announced later.

According to the spokesman of the OPCW, the organization will announce a new date and time as soon as it is possible and probably when the investigation of Syria’s list on its chemical weapons program is finished.
