Israel Bombs Damascus Western Countryside Destroying a House

Israel bombed a house in the western countryside of the Syrian capital Damascus shortly after midnight, the bombing resulted in material damage as per the sources with no reports of casualties so far.

A Syrian military spokesperson said in a statement conveyed by the Syrian news agency SANA:

“At approximately 01:05 a.m. today, the Israeli enemy launched an air attack from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting a number of points in the Damascus countryside.
Our air defense forces responded to the aggression’s missiles and shot down some of them, indicating that the aggression resulted in some material losses.”

Local sources said that shrapnel fell from one of the missiles on the roof of a residential building in the New Damascus (Mashrou Dummar) 16th Block causing material damage.

The air defense units of the Syrian Arab Army had earlier shot down two Israeli drones coming from the same direction, the statement by the Syrian Ministry of Defense read:

“At approximately 14:10 in the afternoon of Thursday 09 February, two drones from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan violated Syrian airspace. Our air defense forces responded to them and shot them down west of Damascus.”

The number of casualties of Israel’s bombing of a residential district in Homs on Wednesday 7th of February reached 9 martyrs and 13 injured.
