Syria: UN Report Implies Tampering of CW Attack Scene?

Syria - Damascus - Highway - Airport

Syria / Chemical Weapons: Attack scene may have been manipulated.

The UN report of the investigation on the use of chemical weapons (CW) near the Syrian capita Damascus was finally published and there are some contradictions in the report by the chemical experts of the United Nations (UN) and the lab tests of the samples from Ain Tarma, Zamalka, and Muadamiah.

Beside the contradictions in the appendix of the UN report on the use of chemical weapons (poison gas – Sarin) near Syria’s capital Damascus as well as in further details of the report, even the inspectors of the United Nations (UN), who have investigated the chemical weapons attack on August 21 in suburbs of Damascus say now that suspicious individuals were traveling to the sites of attack before the expert team of the UN, under the lead by the Swedish arms expert Ake Sellströn, has arrived there.

The chemical weapons inspectors and experts of the UN (United Nations) reported yesterday that chemical weapons had been deployed “on a relatively large scale” in the conflict in Syria. The UN report on the use of chemical weapons near Damascus, which was given to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon by the head of the UN chemical weapons team, Ake Sellstrom, said that there was a “clear and convincing evidence that surface-to-surface rockets containing the nerve agent sarin were used in Ain Tarma (Ein Tarma), Muadamiah (Moadamiyah), and Zamalka (Amalaka) in the Ghouta area of Damascus.”

The UN report and the information about the investigation of the attack site in the region of Ghouta near the Syrian capital Damascus say:

The team reported that while it was at the Ghouta attack site, “Individuals arrived carrying other suspected munitions, indicating that such potential evidence is being moved and possibly manipulated.”

The UN report by the team of experts and based on the laboratory tests of the samples from the places of the alleged chemical weapons use near Damascus did not mention further details about the individuals who travelled to the places of attack in advance of the arrival of the chemical weapons experts. The finally released UN report does not include further information about these individuals or who the individuals were. However, it is known and a fact that these areas near Damascus were under the control of the foreign-backed terrorist groups at this time.

According to the superficial information of the UN report on the chemical weapons use in the Syrian conflict, the report confirms “unequivocally and objectively” that chemical weapons (Sarin nerve agent) were used near Damascus. This is also what the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in a briefing of the member states of the UN Security Council (UNSC) yesterday. However, Ban Ki-moon has missed it to mention several contradictions of the report and even to clarify his statement in the briefing of the UN Security Council. After the briefing of the members of the UNSC, UN Secretary-General Ki-moon told in a news conference that the “report makes for chilling reading.”

Terrorists in Turkey. They wanted to produce sarin.
Terrorists in Turkey. They wanted to produce sarin.

Of course, the mandate of the chemical weapons team from the United Nations (UN) did not include the authorization to assign the blame for the use of chemical weapons. However, the introduction of the UN report already implies that only the Syrian government shall be blamed for the chemical weapons attacks near Damascus on August 21. The report further says that some hundreds of people were killed and many others injured in the chemical attack which took place in suburbs of Syria’s capital, Damascus.

Although there are indications that the chemical weapons attack were a false-flag act and even despite the statements by the UN team that the places of attack could have been manipulated, and not to mention the contradictions of the UN report on the investigation of the use of chemical weapons / poison gas in Syria, it seems that the Western propaganda machine is still easily able to maintain the propaganda that the Syrian government and Syria’s Army is guilty for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus. There are either no more investigative journalists on this planet or the propaganda machine is too intense and dangerous for those kind of journalists.

There are indications that the statements by the Syrian government that the chemical weapons attack was a false-flag operation carried out by the foreign-backed terrorists in order to provoke a foreign military intervention in Syria are believable. However, it is already known that it does not really matter what Damascus says.

The propaganda machine is yet again on high speed, although the contradictions of the UN report and the recent statements by UN experts that the place of attack near Damascus could have been tampered indicate that something stinks about the report and the accusations against the Syrian government and the Syrian Army.

It still remains to be seen what will happen now in terms of Russia’s proposal, the four-stage plan to put Syria’s chemical weapons under an international supervision, and the new agreement by France, Britain, and the United States to increase the support for the terrorist groups fighting in Syria, although the Syrian governance of President Bashar al-Assad has so far complied the steps to join the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and seems ready to get rid of its chemical weapons stockpiles.
