Syria Rejects Ban Ki-moon`s UN Chemical Team

Chemical

The current Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, said yesterday that a UN inspection (chemical) team is already in Cyprus and ready to go to Syria in order to probe the alleged use of chemical weapons in the Syrian city of Aleppo and in the conflict.

Ban Ki-moon, probably not the best Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), announced on Monday that the final staging point was achieved and that the UN chemical team could be soon in Syria. He further said in The Hague, that the United Nations (UN) is now in the position to deploy such a UN investigation team to Syria and that all logistical arrangements will be in place in less than 24 hours.

These statements by Ban Ki-moon were made after the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has called on the United Nations (UN) to probe the alleged use of chemical weapons by the armed terrorists and religious fanatics in Aleppo.

The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon added to his statements that they are only waiting for the go-ahead of the Syrian government in Damascus and that they would be still in the process of debating it with the responsible persons of the Syrian government.

But it seems now that the Syrian government will not accept this UN chemical weapons team, as it has been proposed by the biased UN chief Ban Ki-Moon, in order to probe the alleged use of chemical weapons in the Syrian city of Aleppo (Halab) as well as in the entire conflict in this country. At least, the Foreign Ministry of Syria said on Monday, that Syria will not accept this mission – although President al-Assad has asked the United Nations (UN) to probe the use of chemical weapons.

According to the Syrian Foreign Ministry, the UN head Ban Ki-Moon has suggested a supplementary mission which allows the UN chemical team to deploy throughout the whole territory of Syria and this is contrary to the demands which were made by Syria towards the United Nations (UN) – but nobody should be surprised by this.

The United Nations (UN) was never credible, honest or really interested in the truth of conflict since it has been established. The United Nations (UN) are mainly a tool – just like amnesty international (ai) or Human Rights Watch (HRW), which was already established for this manner.

The spokesperson of the Syrian Foreign Ministry said to the state news agency SANA on Monday that Syria cannot accept such manoeuvres due to the bad experiences with the United Nations (UN) in the past – bearing in mind the very negative role that was played by the UN in Iraq and which had finally paved the way to the US invasion in Iraq in 2003.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry in the capital Damascus “regretted” that Ban Ki-moon had “given in” to the pressure of some states which are already known for their support of the bloodshed, but this behaviour of Ban Ki-moon is no surprise. He is a biased guy without any backbone.

Syria had, so the Foreign Ministry, specifically requested a neutral and honest technical team in order to visit the Syrian village of Khan al-Assad which is located in the north of Aleppo, but the UN tried to misuse this again.
