Syria: Iranian MPs warn Washington and Israel

Russia sends two more naval ships to the Mediterranean Sea.

While the Russian state news agency Interfax has reported that Moscow is sending two more naval ships to the Eastern Mediterranean Sea in order to take over the operations from a naval unit in the area, it is also reported that one of the naval ships is a Russian missile cruiser (guided missile cruiser?) and this could be related to the yesterday’s joint “missile launch / missile test” by the Israeli regime and the United States.

According to the report by the Russian state agency Interfax, the information about the  two more naval ships in direction to the Eastern Mediterranean Sea are from some military sources in Moscow, who gave the information about the Russian naval ships under the terms of anonymity, of course.

In the meantime, there are also several new and interesting statements by Iran in terms of the Syrian conflict, the threats by Washington against Damascus and a possible US-led military strike on Syria.

For example, the new Iranian President Hassan Rouhani underlined in recent statements that Tehran will continue the sending of humanitarian aid to Syria and that the Iranian government simply cannot stop the sending of humanitarian aid to Syria when the Syrian people have to live under such difficult living conditions. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said further that Tehran condemns “any hostile act against the regional countries, especially against Syria.”

Then, there is a new statement by parliamentarians in Iran. Iranian parliamentarians have stated in a new statement from today that they will support the resistance front in Syria and that they are ready “to fight alongside the Syrian nation against any aggressor.”

The statement by the Iranian parliamentarians further says that they, as the representatives of the Iranian people, support the resistance front in Syria and that they declare “in a straightforward manner” their support for the positions of the Supreme Leader of the Muslim world.”

In addition, the Iranian MPs behind the statement also expressed that they are ready to “sacrifice our lives beside our Syrian brothers against the frontline of infidels and oppressors.” The statement by Iranian parliamentarians was signed by 170 MPs in the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the reports.

The statement by the Iranian MPs also includes a warning in direction to Washington and Tel Aviv. The Iranian MPs warned the US administration in Washington and the Israeli regime in Tel Aviv in the signed statement against any military strike on Syria.

According to the statement by the Iranian parliamentarians, any military attack by foreign countries on Syria “will herald the collapse of the arrogant powers’ tyrannical and cruel system.”

Also the Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, who is the Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, spoke again about Syria and the threats of the United States to launch a military attack on Damascus.

The Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, General Soleimani, said in his new remarks in terms of the Syrian conflict and the turmoil around a possible US-led military strike against Syria that Tehran will remain at the side of the Syrian nation “until it gains victory against the aggressors.”

General Soleimani said that Iran will “support Syria to the end,” and then referred to the different means and methods applied by the US administration for toppling the government of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, according to a member of the Iranian Assembly of Experts. General Qassem Soleimani has then mentioned the dispatch of Al-Qaeda forces to Syria by the US administration as an example for the American machinations to topple the Syrian President and his government.

Of course, the Iranian General also spoke about the recent chemical attack in suburbs of Damascus and said that he is convinced that “Washington’s latest excuse for attacking Syria will fail to produce any results for Washington.” By the phrase “latest excuse”, General Soleimani meant the alleged chemical attack in suburbs (e.g. Jobar) of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force also spoke about the fears of some countries in the Middle East about the growing influence of Iran in the region and that the regime in Qatar has “has spent $12bln in the form of aids” to the terrorists fighting in Syria. He also mentioned that this attempt by Qatar to reverse the current trend on ground in Syria has failed.
