PROVINCES, SANA_ An army unit on Monday morning destroyed 6 pickups fitted with medium and heavy machineguns and a number of motorcycles were used by al-Qaeda linked- Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Muhmpel town in Idleb countryside.
SANA correspondent quoted a source in the province as saying that the operation resulted in the killing of a number of terrorists and the injury of several others while the rest fled to the surrounding forests and mountains. The army units are still pursuing them.
The reporter pointed out that another army unit destroyed several gatherings for al-Qaeda terrorists who were blocking roads, looting and sabotaging private and public properties in Binish, Taftanaz, T’uom, Deir Sunbul, Sarge in Idleb countryside.
Heavy losses were inflicted upon the terrorists where a number of them were killed and injured.
A unit of the Armed Forces, in cooperation with the security and law-enforcement forces at the Interior Ministry, inflicted heavy losses upon terrorist groups on Idleb-Harem road.
A source at the Interior Ministry stressed that pursuit operations resulted in the killing of scores of terrorists and the injury of many others.
At the turnpike of the town Jisreen near al-Mleiha, an Armed Forces unit carried out an operation against a gathering of terrorists, inflicting heavy losses upon them.
Snipers Killed in Daraya, Damascus Countryside
A unit of the Armed Forces clashed with an armed terrorist group from al-Qaeda-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra near the Cultural Center in Daraya city in Damascus Countryside.
An official source told SANA reporter said that the clashes resulted in killing a number of terrorist snipers and injuring others, in addition to seizing their machineguns and sniper rifles.
Terrorist Attack on al-Zabadani Police Command Building Repelled
Members of the police command in al-Zabadani area in Damascus Countryside confronted terrorist groups which attempted to attack the directorate.
A source at the Interior Ministry said that the policemen repelled the terrorist attack, no casualties among their ranks were reported.
Terrorists Killed in Homs, Clashes between Two Terrorist Groups over Dividing Loots
Units of the Armed Forces clashed with terrorist groups which attempted to attack two checkpoints for law-enforcement forces in al-Mukhtariyeh and Souq al-Ghanam neighborhoods in Homs City, inflicting heavy losses upon them.
A source in the province told SANA reporter that the Armed Forces repelled attack attempt carried out by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists against the law-enforcement forces in the aforementioned areas, killing and injuring many of them while the rest fled away.
The authorities clashed with a terrorist group in Bab Houd neighborhood on Saturday night, eliminating most of its members including the group’s leader Bilal al-Naimi.
The source added that another army unit destroyed a terrorists’ hideout in Housh Kfar Nan in the countryside of al-Rastan, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.
The wanted terrorist Mohammad Suleiman Mansour was identified among the dead.
In al-Rastan, the source said that the clashes between two terrorist groups as they disputed over dividing loots caused the killing and the injury of many of their members.
Terrorist Fadl Saad Tlas, Mohammad Qasem Tlas, Alaa Mohammad Tlas, Badr Tlas and Khaled Mohammaf Bahbouh were identified among the dead.
The source said that two passengers were injured as terrorist snipers opened fire on a bus carrying passengers on Damascus – Aleppo highway near Talbeiseh area early in the morning.
In al-Houleh area, an Armed Forces destroyed a number of terrorist hideouts on Sunday night, killing a number of terrorists including Jafaar Harmoush, Qussai Saadeddin, Muaz Radwan and Eksh, and Anwar al-Jazzar, and injuring others.
Three Leaders of Terrorist Groups Killed, Four Bases for Launching Missiles Dismantled on Homs-Hama Road
An army unit killed all members of an armed terrorist group which attempted to attack citizens and the checkpoints for law-enforcement forces in Aqraba town in the countryside of Hama.
An official source told SANA reporter that three leaders of the so called “al-Farouq Battalions” affiliated to al-Qaeda were killed.
The source added that the army dismantled four bases for launching missiles set up by terrorists on Homs-Hama road to target residential areas.
Armed Forces Unit Prevents Attempt to Detonate Six Explosive Devices on the Idleb-Sarmin Highway
An Armed Forces unit prevented an attempt by terrorists to detonate six explosive devices planted on the Idleb-Sarmin Highway.
A source in the province told SANA’s correspondent that the devices ranged in weight from 30 to 70 kilograms, and that they were rigged for remote detonation via wireless devices.
The Armed Forces eliminated large numbers of terrorists and destroyed their weapons and vehicles in Mahambal area in Idleb countryside.
An official source told SANA reporter that the area was cleared of terrorists, adding that the army continued pursuing the armed terrorist groups in several areas in Idleb countryside and inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in Bisinquol.
The source highlighted that another army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group linked to Jabhat al-Nusra on Harim-Idleb road and inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists.
In Ma’arat al-Numan, an army unit destroyed terrorists’ gatherings in the city and in Sarjah, al-Bara and Basamis towns in Jabal al-Zawya, killing scores of terrorists.
In Areha city, the Armed Forces clashed with a terrorist group that tried to attack a law-enforcement post in the area, killing and wounding all the members of the group
