Syria: Clashes Near the Aleppo International Airport

Aleppo, Syria - View of the Town Hall

While the units of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) continued with their cleansing and mop-up operations against the foreign-backed terrorists and Al Qaeda-linked groups in several regions of the Arab nation, the troops of the Syrian army were again successful in these military operations today.

Especially in the eastern area of the district of Ghouta, which is located in the outskirts of the Syrian capital, Damascus. Several units of the Syrian army were able to eliminate a number of Al Qaeda-linked terrorists in this region near the capital.

The killed terrorists probably belonged to the Syrian Al Qaeda offshoot, the so-called Jabhat al-Nusra / al-Nusra Front, which became very powerful in Syria due to the initially support by foreign powers in the West as well as by the help of regional powers. Recently, several Western governments have dropped their support for the Syrian Al Qaeda branch because they now even became more powerful in Syria than the criminals and terrorists of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), which are also supported by foreign powers but these terrorist groups of the FSA are considered as more secular than the Al Qaeda offshoot in Syria and, thus, they still receive a lot of “support” from abroad.

It is to assume that the terrorist groups of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) have currently the order from their foreign masters to regain control above areas taken by the Jabhar al-Nusra (al-Nusra Front), but the situation of the FSA groups is very desperate currently and there are less people from day to day who are still convinced that these terrorist groups of the FSA could really regain control about all the regions that are under control of the Al Qaeda-linked groups (al-Nusra Front and affiliated jihadist groups) in Syria.

Meanwhile, other units of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) conducted several military operations in the provinces and countryside of Hasaka and Latakia (Lattakia). In addition, further troops of the Syrian army are still involved in battles against foreign-backed terrorist groups in the northern area of the strategically important Syrian city of Aleppo. Several reports from Aleppo also say that the units of the Syrian army and terrorist groups are currently fighting near the International Airport of Aleppo (Halab).

There is currently no more information about these clashes between the foreign-backed terrorists and the troops of the Syrian army near the Aleppo International Airport but when the battles turn out as expected, then the armed terrorists will either flee or be eliminated. And even in the case when the armed terrorists flee, they might run into the arms of the Jabhar al Nusra (al Nusra Front). It depends on the situation on ground and the kind of terrorists, which will hopefully get eliminated by the Syrian units near the International Airport of Aleppo (Halab).

Several armed terrorist tried to retake the control of the al-Rashedin neighbourhood in Aleppo, but these foreign-backed terrorists were repelled by the forces of the Syrian army, which were on location, after the troops of the Syrian Arab army (SAA) were recently able to gain the full control above the al-Rashedin neighbourhood in Aleppo (Halab).

It is to hope that the units of the Syrian army are able to maintain the full control of Aleppo’s al-Rashedin neighbourhood and to conduct further cleansing operations in the area of al-Rashedin and the neighbouring districts.

In addition, the external and staged “Syrian opposition”, the political show for Western people, stated in a new statement that their “ground forces”, the terrorists of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), were able to kill an officer of the elite Republican Guard in the Syrian city of Aleppo (Halab), but to be honest, what`s one killed elite Republican Guard in Aleppo when at least 50 terrorists of the FSA have lost their lives from yesterday to today? Of course, any elite Republican Guard in Aleppo is more worth than any criminal and thug of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), but.. well, you know what I mean.

They are in such a desperate situation that they even flaunt a very good mood, like if they would have already achieved to topple the secular government in Damascus, about one killed elite Republican Guard in Aleppo, while their other “ground forces” have no clue, to where they should flee and where they should hide – and this not only from the Syrian Arab army (SAA), but also from the powerful Syrian Al Qaeda branch, the Jabhat al Nusra –  due to the mentioned situation that the armed power struggles between both main groups and their affiliated groups in Syria (some say the slightly more secular criminals and terrorists of the FSA and the jihadists and Islamists of the Al Qaeda branch in Syria) increase from day to day now and became very violent in recent days.

Hm. The third paragraph was a little muddy, and could use a little work, in my opinion; also I had to snicker about the ‘totally horny’ description in the last paragraph – – a check up on the current accepted usage of ‘horny’ might not come amiss; still, a very positive article laying out the successes of the SAA, and pointing out that the combat momentum is not diminishing in any way. My condolences for the loss of the Republican Guard officer. Well done SAA, good hunting!

That’s much better! A note; here in Las Vegas we have a saying, ‘Don’t curse the cards’ which means don’t count your winnings before the hand is played through. I’d caution about projecting victory in any operation until the last rat has been killed or captured. The writing is improving, guy, keep up the good work. Could there be a possibility of a country map showing the government held areas? Maybe friendly areas in light blue, enemy held in light red (military maps show friendly forces in blue, enemy in red) No operational maps, of course, just a general country map. If not, that’s okay because I’d not want to impinge upon operational security in any way.

Arklight, good idea, a map with up dates on the territory gains could be very useful indeed. You advice on caution is also a good one.
