Syria: Fights Between Al-Qaeda and Syrian Kurds Near Turkey

Syria / Turkey, border

Iran concerned about the Syrian crisis.

New clashes have erupted between the al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups and the Kurdish population near the Syrian border to Turkey while the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran has expressed his concerns over the situation of the crisis and conflict in Syria as well as on the use of chemical weapons in the Arab country.

According to reports, fresh clashes have erupted near the Syrian-Turkish border and again between the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist groups and the Syrian Kurds. The reports about the new fights between the Kurdish population near the Syrian border to Turkey and the al-Qaeda linked terrorists say that fighters of the Democratic Union Party (PYD; Arabic: حزب الاتحاد الديمقراطي‎) with links to the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) clashed with Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists in the border town of Atma yesterday.

The Kurdish fighters were able to kill at least seven terrorists in these fresh clashes. However, also two members of the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK / KGK) died in the new fights from yesterday. The reports say that the two members of the PKK died when several mortar shells were fired on the outskirts of the border city of Jandari.

The fresh clashes between the Syrian Kurds and the Al-Qaeda-linked Islamists have escalated in the north and northeaster of the Syrian city of Aleppo (Halab), in particular at the Syrian border with the neighbouring country Turkey. The Kurdish fighters, who reject any foreign meddling in Syria, managed it to push back the armed religious fanatics of the Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups from several positions in the border region of Syria.

The Syrian Kurds have mobilized themselves against the violence and terrorism of the al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadists in northeaster Syria. Especially the killing of a Kurdish opposition leader near the Syrian border to Turkey was a key reason for the Kurdish population in north-eastern Syria to mobilize against the al-Qaeda-linked jihadists in the region and to try everything to push them back and to restore security again.

However, the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist groups are supported by the Turkish government and thus, also by the Turkish army and therefore, the task of the Syrian Kurds in the north of Aleppo is very difficult and the situation is still tense and violent.

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has in the meantime voices his deep concern over the situation of the conflict and crisis in Syria and on the use of chemical weapons in the Arab country. The new President of the Islamic Republic of Iran said on the side-lines of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly in New York that all regional and international countries have to increase their efforts to find a political and peaceful solution to the Syrian conflict and to end the civil strife in the Arab country.

Hassan Rouhani met with the Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on the side-lines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York yesterday. The Iranian President has not only urged on all sides directly or indirectly involved in the Syrian conflict to increase their efforts in order to accelerate the finding of a diplomatic and peaceful solution to the Syrian conflict and the civil strife in the Arab country, but he also said that the use of chemical weapons by any side for any reason is only to condemn and represents a violation of law.

Of course, the President of Iran also spoke about the ties between Tehran and Beirut during his meeting with his Lebanese counterpart, Michel Suleiman. In terms of the Iranian-Lebanese cooperation, Hassan Rouhani (Rohani) said in New York that it is important to bolster the biilateral cooperation between the countries and that the developments in Lebanon do matter to Iran.

Iran’s President Rouhani then explained that Tehran supports the resistance in Lebanon and suggested that both countries adopt measures in order to fight the terrorism in the region. The President of Lebanon said during this meeting with the new Iranian President that he hopes that Iran and Lebanon will expand their cooperation in various fields and that the bilateral ties will increase.

Diplomacy? Sure, you bet – – SAA is the diplomatic mission, with Kalashnikov as spokesman. When dealing with the jihadi swine, SAA’s position is, ‘Swine get slaughtered. Adios, Mutha.’
