Saudi Arabia Boosts Oil Output to Finance Terrorism in Syria and Iraq

Oil Barrels and piping.

Saudi Arabia boosts oil output to finance the terrorism in other Arab states.

According to several reports, the totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia plans to boost the oil output and to use the proceeds from the recent production hike of 400,000 barrels-per-day (bpd) to finance the arms supplies to the foreign-backed terrorist and jihadist groups in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Iraq.

This would match the recent reports about the Saudi-financed terrorism in several Arab states of the Middle East as well as the reports about the “death squads” in Egypt after Ford was appointed as U.S. ambassador in the North African country. The term “Salvador options” is the important keyword in this relation.

The situation that the totalitarian dictatorship in Saudi Arabia is mentioned as sponsor of terrorism in the same context with its oil output comes as no surprise. Further, it is no real secret that the Saudi regime is probably one of the largest sponsors of terrorism on this globe.

The new reports say that the Saudi regime wants to use the proceeds from its recent production hike of 400,000 barrels-per-day (bpd) to fund the deliveries of new and modern weapons and ammunition into the hands of terrorist groups in Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq, and one hopes that this alleged plan of Saudi Arabia is either not true or will not work out.

More modern weapons in the hands of the jihadists and terrorists in Syria would be a huge threat for many civilians and also a very horrible imagination after the recent massacres against Syrian civilians (e.g. the gruesome massacre against Syrian Kurds in northern Syria) or the increasing violence in Egypt. Not to mention the unstable state of Lebanon and the violence in Iraq. Of course, Washington plays a part in these plan(s) of the Saudi regime. The Saudi regime is not doing much without a consultation with Washington and Tel Aviv.

According to reports by alleged informed sources, the Saudi regime has demanded from Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the head of the Saudi intelligence since mid-2012, to continue the involvement and funding of the domestic conflicts within several nations of the Middle East. Several sources stated that the Persian Gulf kingdom, better say the regime in Saudi Arabia, has put the head of Bandar bin Sultan in charge of waging the conflicts within Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Lebanon.

Saudi Arabia has reportedly increased its crude oil production by 400,000 bpd in the past month and the Saudi regime is meanwhile faced with the decline of the oil demand by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), which could lead to the situation that some of this money will be used for weapons and this arms will then be supplied into the hands of the terrorists in several Arab states. While the oil production of Saudi Arabia has allegedly reached 9,990,000 bpd in July, the oil demand of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has decreased.

The use of the oil income by the Saudi regime in order to fund the terrorism in other nations of the Middle East would come as no surprise. The American-backed regime in Saudi Arabia is acknowledged by many analysts as the main supporter of the al-Qaeda-linked terrorists and jihadists in some Arab nations in the Middle East. Currently especially in Syria.

It is no secret anymore that Saudi Arabia funds the terrorists fighting in Syria against the secular government of President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus as well as the Saudi regime is supplying weapons and logistics, beside other “military aid”, into the hands of the jihadist and terrorist forces in Syria.

With more money from the oil production, Saudi Arabia could increase the arms supplies to the Syrian al-Qaeda branch as well as to other violent groups fighting in Syria. However, even without the proceeds from the recent production hike of 400,000 barrels-per-day (bpd), Saudi Arabia is capable of delivering more weapons to the Islamist forces who are fighting on Syrian soil against the secular nation in order to establish an Islamist theocratical state in Syria, of course.

As reported by Press TV, the American sponsors of the Saudi dictatorship have repeatedly acknowledged the important role of the Saudi regime in supporting Washington’s agenda in several countries of the Middle East, while it is no secret anymore that the Saudi regime has nothing against the occupation of some of its territory by the Israeli regime. This certainly implies the good cooperation between the Saudi and Israeli regimes.

If the Saudi regime accepts the Israeli occupation of one of its islands, how should Saudi Arabia ever be credible in its support for Palestine? The Saudi support for Palestine is staged and just follows an US-Zionist agenda.

I remember the words of a (Sunni) carpet shop owner in Damas a few years ago: “50 years ago, my friend, the Saudis came to Syria to work. Now we go and work there. But give it another 50 years, and the Saudis will be back working in Syria, when their oil wells have run dry.”, he said to me.
Well, it seems to me that they plan ahead – with no future assets but sand (wanna buy some?…) they try to get hold of every corner of the Sunni world to make sure to have a place once the liquid gold is gone. But times have changed. The sword doesn’t work anymore the way it did some centuries ago. Those who have assets based on intellectual creativity will not exchange them for bloodthirsty religious dogma.
They can invest as much as they want into western businesses, too – with a head full of crap, this oil elite will in no time be back to where it belongs – the Rub Al Khali.
