Mar 10, 2013

BEIRUT, (SANA) – A group of Salafi extremists assaulted Syrian actor Dureid Lahham and attempted to prevent him and the accompanying work crew from filming scenes for a TV series in al-Azem cultural center in the city of Tripoli, Lebanon.

Lebanese media said that said a man called Ali Qambat accompanied by ten bearded youths who identify themselves as Salafis arrived on set and threatened Lahham, warning him not to enter the area again, with reports saying that these extremists returned later and attacked the work crew.
Earlier in February, Lahham was also attacked by Salafi extremists while filming scenes in al-Qalamoun in northern Lebanon.
