SAA Eliminates the Terrorist Group which Attacked the Buses in Deir Ezzor

SAA eliminates terrorist group south of Deir Ezzor

Syrian Arab Army SAA units eliminated an armed group responsible for the deadly terrorist attacks on the buses in southern Deir Ezzor countryside.

After combing the area alongside the Deir Ezzor – Tadmor (Palmyra) Highway, a unit of the Syrian Arab Army spotted movements of terrorists near the Ash Sholah – Kabajeb segment killing 5 of the terrorists and destroying their heavy machine gun-mounted 4 x 4 pick up truck, a Syrian field officer stated.

This terrorist group is part of the group that carried out deadly attacks recently against buses carrying off-duty SAA soldiers and civilian passengers and also against oil tankers on the vital Deir Ezzor – Tadmor Highway which led to the killing of dozens of soldiers and civilians.

The terrorists came from the open desert area towards At Tanf region where the US forces maintain an illegal presence and built an illegal military base. The US forces in the area impose a 55 kilometers perimeter zone where ISIS-affiliated terrorist groups operate freely under their protection.

A number of deadly attacks were also carried out against the southern provinces of Daraa, Sweida, and Quneitra from that area under the protection of the US army, the most heinous of them was the massacre carried out by ISIS remnants on 25 July 2018 against the remote villages of Sweida eastern countryside killing 215 of the villagers, injuring 180 others and kidnapping 27 women and children.

The US Pentagon did threaten to revive ISIS after the Syrian armed forces and the Iraqi PMU along with their allies managed to defeat the terrorist organization in Syria and in Iraq and herds of ISIS and its affiliated groups wander the open desert freely under with their pick up trucks enjoying the full support of the US army illegal presence to the extent they carried out a joint military drill together early December last year.
