SAA Cleans more than 30 Towns South of Idlib from NATO Terrorists

Syrian Arab Army advances in the southern countryside of Idlib

After deliberately failing to implement the articles of the ‘Astana Agreement’ over Idlib for more than one year, and after several promises and stalemates by the Turkish madman Erdogan, the Syrian Arab Army and their Russian allies have started what seems to be a non-stop military operation to clean the southern countryside of Idlib from NATO terrorists of al-Qaeda and affiliates.

Within the past 4 days only, the Syrian Arab Army advancing units cleaned more than 30 towns from Nusra Front and its assorted terrorist affiliated groups, under the watching nose of Erdogan forces in its observation posts. The main direct objective of the military operation in implementing the Sochi and Astana Russian – Turkish agreements is to secure the M5 artery between Aleppo and Latakia, and Aleppo and Hama.

The following is a report by the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen news channel have more details about the SAA military operation south of Idlib, which surprised the terrorists despite the clear signals from the Syrian leadership:

Transcript of the English translation of the above report:

The road to Ma’rat al-Numan, south of Idlib city, is paved in front of Syrian Army units advancing from two axes east and south to pressure armed groups and force them to withdraw.

The military operation, which began a few days ago, brought more than 30 villages back to army control in a steady and accelerated encroachment operation, in a steady and accelerated encroachment operation, to reach 3 kilometers from Jarjanaz, south of Ma’rat al-Numan.

Advancing units detonate mines and IED’s before re-enforcing their posts to protect the back swarms of troops.

The Military Operation began because there were no Turkish-Russian understandings on the implementation of de-escalation and ceasefire in Idlib during the recent Astana talks, but the final statement went on to describe the situation as an increase in terrorist activities within the province.

Moscow cut off Ankara’s road to bartering around Idlib with understandings in the eastern Euphrates and resolved its decision for military resolution and the resumption of the military operation that had begun months ago and during which the Syrian army recaptured most of the southern countryside adjacent to the northern countryside of Hama.

Concrete blocks and military barriers to prevent demonstrations that tried to storm the Bab al-Hawa crossing, Jabhat al-Nusra fired bullets and tear gas to suppress the crowd protesting what it called the Turkish silence and the failure of its observation points to play its role.

The army’s surprise operation confused the armed groups and increased their differences, Jabhat al-Nusra threatened to withdraw from the fronts unless it obtained supplies via support routes from the National Liberation Front, and the latter reject under the pretext of disapproval of the Turkish observation post in Al-Sarman, which oversees supply crossings for armed groups, and calls on Jabhat al-Nusra to join the operations room of the so-called National Army of Turkey.

The army’s operation didn’t face the armed groups’ promised confrontation, hundreds of whom withdrew under the army’s fire and their inner-differences.

The army continues to advance to secure the M5 road between Hama and Aleppo first and to approach Idlib, the largest stronghold of Jabhat al-Nusra in Syria.

The operation will not be easy or quick, but a decision on a military solution has been taken irreversibly this time, it seems.

In the meantime, the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Walid Moallem affirmed Syria’s decision to restore all of the Syrian territories from terror. Mr. Moallem, in a press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, accused the USA of carrying out the terrorist drone attacks against Syria’s oil and gas facilities in Homs a couple of days from the illegal US base in Al-Tanf southeast of Syria.

We, at Syria News, have accused the regime of Donald Trump directly of the terrorist attack against Homs Oil Refinery, the Rayyan Gas Plant and the South-Central Gas Plant, all in Homs:

The same Trump forces military base responsible for training and protecting ISIS terrorists who in turn are holding hundreds of Syrian families hostages in the infamous Rukban Concentration Camp.
