Russian President Vladimir Putin has finally confirmed his readiness to meet with the US President Barack Obama in June. This meeting between the Russian President Putin and his American counterpart Barack Obama will take place on the side-lines of the G8 summit in Northern Ireland in June.

While Moscow has confirmed that the President Vladimir Putin is ready to meet with Obama at the G8 summit in Northern Ireland, the Russian side stated again, that the invitation for the US President Barack Obama to travel to Russia in order to meet with the heads of the Russian state remains in force.

The details of the contacts between the both Presidents of Russia and the United States were debated during a meeting in the Kremlin. The Russian President Putin as well as the US President’s National Security Advisor Thomas Donilon took part in this meeting in the Kremlin.

The Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said to journalists that both sides have agreed that the Presidents will meet at the upcoming G8 summit in Northern Ireland (June) and that both will take part at the summit of the Group of Twenty in St. Petersburg. There, the Russian and American President will hold full-scale talks within the Group of Twenty summit.

Yuri Ushakov also confirmed towards the press that the invitation for the US President Barack Obama to pay an official visit to Russia remains in force – Barack Obama just has to say yes.

The Russian President Putin and his American counterpart Obama will probably debate some serious topics when they will meet at the G8 summit in Northern Ireland in June. Of course, there are some serious topics like their policy on Syria and the complications between the Russian and US foreign policy in recent months.

One just can hope that Vladimir Putin will find the correct words about Syria in direction of the US President Barack Obama due to the situation that the US administration supports the armed terrorists and even the jihadists and Islamists in their armed struggle and terrorism against the Syrian population.
