Military Intervention in Syria: Russia warns about Consequences

Middle East Map

Moscow warns Washington against “extremely dangerous consequences” of an attack against Syria.

According to reports, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned the U.S. administration in Washington against the dangerous consequences of a military intervention in Syria and an attack against the Arab nation, while the results of such an intervention in Syria by foreign forces are partly not forseeable.

However, it is clear as the sky that a military action against Syria will neither resolve the Syrian conflict nor help the Syrian people, but increase the violence and bloodshed in the Arab nation. In addition, some so-called analysts said that a military intervention and attack on Syria bears the risk of triggering a new world war (WWIII).

It is just understandable that the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned the United States against the “extremely dangerous consequences” of any military actions against Syria as well as against the mentioned airstrikes against targets on Syrian soil.

The Foreign Minister of Russia made these new remarks in a telephone call with the partly biased U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry. The telephone conversation between Moscow and Washington took place on Sunday. Sergei Lavrov warned the US Secretary of State about the dangerous consequences of an attack of Syria by the U.S. military or other foreign forces, e.g. by NATO or/and Arab states.

The reports about the warning by the Russian Foreign Minister in direction of John Kerry say that Lavrov has focused on the extremely dangerous consequences of a possible military intervention and airstrike against Syria for the entire regions of the Middle East and North Africa. A new statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow further says that the administration of Russia was “deeply alarmed” by the recent war rhetoric and statements of the U.S. administration in Washington about its readiness to military intervene in the Syrian conflict.

The statement by Russia’s Foreign Ministry closes with the words that Sergei Lavrov urged restraint in his telephone conversation with the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation regime in Tel Aviv has called for an attack against Syria, although they name it a military intervention in Syria to protect all the Syrian civilians.

In addition, also the government in Paris, France, called for military actions against the Syrian government in Damascus and the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

However, the statements about the alleged use of chemical agents (e.g. Sarin nerve gas) by the units of the Syrian Army are not underlined by evidence and recent video recordings by the team of ANNA-news as well as seized Saudi-made chemical containers (from the terrorists in a warehouse) in Jobar, near Damascus, imply that the foreign-backed terrorists have used chemical agents against Syrian units, while the units of the Syrian army have not used chemical weapons in their military operations against the terrorists in Jobar on August 22 – otherwise, the ANNA-news team would be already dead as well as a lot of Syrian soldiers from the Syrian army (not many gas masks…).

The video(s) by ANNA-news testify that the Syrian army has not used chemical weapons in Jobar (suburb of Damascus) on August 22.

Meanwhile, also Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad said in a new interview (from today) with the Russian newspaper Izvestia would only end in the next failure of the United States.
