How did Syrians receive the international aggression on Lattakia? It happened last night at 9:50 pm, Monday, September 17, 2018. In my country, there are no sirens to warn our people about any possible enemy aggression. Instead, we just saw flames in our skies. At first, we thought it could be enemy drones from Idlib since this has happened in the past. This time, however, the flames were followed by huge blasts and our buildings started shaking. Shortly after, we lost electricity.
The flames and blasts, which we shortly recognized to be bombing, lasted for more than an hour and half! The enemy missiles were mostly drowned by our Syrian air defenses.
But what is important to mention is that the enemy missiles seemed to be coming from the sea.
I watched this from my balcony and could easily see that what was happening was not “normal,” or whatever passes for normal in the midst of war. It appeared that many countries had come together to bomb our country and our people.
The missiles targeted our suburbs and one of them landed in front of my friend’s house.
Many Syrians in Lattakia took to the rooftops to watch the aggression take place. This is in contrast to Israel where people run to shelters and basements at the sound of sirens warning them of minor incidents miles away. While, in Israel, an entire country rushes underground for a single missile, Syrians rushed to the nearest vantage point to see for themselves.
Syrians were not overcome with fear. They watched the missiles fall and prayed for their army that has been standing virtually alone against jihadists since 2011. It is to protect these jihadists that Israel sends it warplanes alongside American, French, and UK warships.
The real horror was for the children who witnessed this sudden attack. For them, there was fear of the sudden bombing mixed with the fact that the attacks produced so much smoke and polluted air that it was hard to breathe.
Whenever it touched your eyes, it burned.
I asked my friend who lived near where one of the missiles landed, how her three-month-old son reacted. She laughed. She carried him from room to room to take cover from the missiles. He thought they were playing and was having a great time. But most children were not so lucky as to be under false impressions that this was a game. The majority of them, having known nothing but war since they were born, found this to be one more horror in a long line of horrors visited upon them by the West. The older children couldn’t be comforted. They cried loudly in fear.
The U.S. and its baby Israel can’t allow Syria to advance. They cannot allow Syria to have peace. For them, Israel must have the power to terrorize the region at will.
Unfortunately, many sites in Lattakia were destroyed. Even more tragic, there were many wounded civilians and two martyrs.
Of course, Lattakia was not the only location targeted by this strike. Tartous and Hama were targeted as well.
All of this brings us to a very important question – Where is this international law when we are under international terrorism?“

Lattakia: Dov’è il Diritto Internazionale quando Stiamo sotto il Terrorismo Internazionale?
In che modo i siriani hanno ricevuto l’aggressione internazionale su Lattakia? È successo ieri sera alle 21:50, lunedì 17 settembre 2018. Nel mio paese non ci sono sirene per avvertire la nostra gente di qualsiasi possibile aggressione nemica. Invece, abbiamo appena visto le fiamme nei nostri cieli. All’inizio pensavamo che potessero essere i droni nemici di Idlib dato che questo è successo in passato. Questa volta, tuttavia, le fiamme furono seguite da enormi esplosioni e i nostri edifici iniziarono a tremare. Poco dopo, abbiamo perso l’elettricità.
Le fiamme e le esplosioni, che in breve tempo abbiamo riconosciuto come bombardamenti, sono durate per più di un’ora e mezza! I missili nemici erano per lo più affogati dalle nostre difese aeree siriane.
Ma ciò che è importante menzionare è che i missili nemici sembravano venire dal mare.
L’ho visto dal mio balcone e ho potuto facilmente vedere che quello che stava succedendo non era “normale” o qualsiasi cosa passasse per normale nel mezzo della guerra. Sembrava che molti paesi si fossero uniti per bombardare il nostro paese e il nostro popolo.
I missili hanno colpito i nostri sobborghi e uno di loro è atterrato davanti alla casa della mia amica.
Molti siriani a Lattakia sono saliti sui tetti per assistere all’aggressione. Questo è in contrasto con Israele dove la gente corre verso rifugi e scantinati al suono di sirene che li avvertono di incidenti minori a miglia di distanza. Mentre, in Israele, un intero paese si precipita sottoterra per un singolo missile, i siriani si sono precipitati verso il punto di osservazione più vicino per vedere da soli.
I siriani non furono sopraffatti dalla paura. Hanno guardato i missili cadere e pregato per il loro esercito che è rimasto praticamente da solo contro i jihadisti dal 2011. È per proteggere questi jihadisti che Israele gli invia aerei a fianco delle navi da guerra americane, francesi e britanniche.
Il vero orrore era per i bambini che hanno assistito a questo improvviso attacco. Per loro, c’era la paura del bombardamento improvviso mescolato con il fatto che gli attacchi producevano così tanto fumo e aria inquinata che era difficile respirare.
Ogni volta che toccava i tuoi occhi, si bruciavano.
Ho chiesto alla mia amica che viveva vicino a dove è caduto uno dei missili, come ha reagito il figlio di tre mesi. Lei ha riso. L’ha portato da una stanza all’altra per ripararsi dai missili. Pensava di suonare e si stava divertendo molto. Ma la maggior parte dei bambini non è stata così fortunata da avere false impressioni sul fatto che questo era un gioco. La maggior parte di loro, non avendo conosciuto altro che la guerra da quando erano nati, trovò che questo era un altro orrore in una lunga serie di orrori visitati su di loro dall’Occidente. I bambini più grandi non potevano essere confortati. Gridarono forte per la paura.
Gli Stati Uniti e il loro bambino Israele non possono permettere alla Siria di avanzare. Non possono permettere alla Siria di avere pace. Per loro, Israele deve avere il potere di terrorizzare la regione a volontà.
Sfortunatamente, molti siti a Lattakia furono distrutti. Ancora più tragico, c’erano molti civili feriti e due martiri.
Certo, Lattakia non era l’unica località presa di mira da questo sciopero. Anche Tartous e Hama furono presi di mira.
Tutto ciò ci porta a una domanda molto importante: dov’è questa legge internazionale quando siamo sotto il terrorismo internazionale?
