Replying to a question regarding a statement of Turkish minister of foreign affairs Ahmet Davutoğlu when the latter stated he’d prefer to resign than to shake hands with president Assad, president Bashar Al Assad: ‘This type of talk is of no importance.. And not worth replying to.. If he didn’t have anybody to raise him properly at his house, at my house I was raised in a good way.. And if he didn’t learn a thing from the Turkish people’s good manners which I saw during my visits to Turkey, I learned a lot of Syrian people’s good manners in Syria.’

Syria’s presidential media office released as part of the interview the Syrian president Bashar Al Assad had with Turkish Ulusal TV station And Aydinlik Newspaper in an interview recorded today, April 02, 2013 and will be aired on Friday April 05, 2013.
