army continues operations against terrorists in several areas

PROVINCES, (SANA)- A unit of the armed forces on Monday clashed with terrorists in Khan al-Asal in Aleppo as a number of terrorists were killed  and RPG launcher, a machinegun, a rocket launcher  and two cars were seized.

Army Continues Operations against Terrorist in Damascus Countryside

An army unit carried out a special operation in the town of Douma in Damascus Countryside, killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying one of their hideouts. The Armed Forces targeted a terrorist gathering near the Municipality and destroyed a number of vehicles used by terrorists. One of the dead terrorists was identified as Samir Marjaneh.

Army Destroys Terrorist Hideouts in Homs

Meanwhile, a military source said that units of the armed forces foiled armed terrorist groups’ attack against two military checkpoints in al-Qseir and Palmyra in Homs countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists. The source told SANA reporter in the province that the army killed a number of terrorists, injured others and destroyed a number of their cars with all weapons and ammunition inside them. The source pointed out that a unit of the armed forces destroyed two pick-up cars with all weapons and ammunition inside them near Bait Amoun mosque in Jousieh and killed a number of terrorists who were perpetrating looting acts in the area. In the same context, units of the armed forces confronted a number of terrorists who were infiltrated into Baba Amro neighborhood in Homs. The clash resulted in the killing of a number of terrorists and the injury of others. The source added that the armed forces continue pursuing the rest of terrorists who were infiltrated into the neighborhood.

Tunnel Discovered in Homs

An army unit discovered a 40-meter-long tunnel east of al-Khandaq Street in Bab Hood neighborhood in Homs.

SANA quoted a source in the province as saying that the tunnel was used by terrorists in hiding and as a conduit for carrying weapons to attack citizens and the army. The source added that the engineering units dismantled a number of explosive devices planted by terrorists in the neighborhood’s houses.

Units of the armed forces destroyed on Sunday a number of terrorist groups’ hideouts in Homs and its countryside, killing all terrorists inside them.

An official source told SANA reporter that the terrorist groups have taken heavy casualties in the operation carried out by the army in Kurmos and Kafrlaha in al-Hola area in Homs countryside. The army also destroyed a bulldozer which the terrorists were using to dig trenches to protect themselves and to hide their weapons and ammunition. The source added that another unit of the armed forces inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists , killing a number of them in the northern and southern Ein Hussein towns.  In Homs city, an army unit clashed with terrorists in Bab Hud and Karm Shamsham neighborhoods, killing a number of terrorists among them Adnan Tlas.  Meanwhile, units of the armed forces destroyed terrorists’ hideouts and four machinegun-equipped cars in the neighborhoods of the al-Omal, al-Sinaa, al-Marea’yeh, al-Jebaileh, al-Howieka in Deir Ezzor.  On Sunday night, the Armed Forces destroyed a terrorist gathering in the village of al-Dmaina al-Gharibya in al-Qseir countryside and 4 carts along with the terrorists, weapons and munitions insite them.

Army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorist groups in al-Dar al-Kabireh, al-Ghanto and al-Khalidiyeh in Talbiseh countryside and in Palmyra, while a terrorist group was eliminated in the village of al-Ghasibiye while transporting ammo, in addition to destroying a car equipped with an anti-aircraft machinegun.

In the villages of Balousa and Hawik, another Army unit clashed with terrorist group which had been smuggling weapons and munitions from Lebanon, eliminating a number of its members.

Army Destroys Terrorists Hideouts in Idleb Countryside

In Idleb countryside, a unit of the armed forces destroyed a number of terrorists hideouts, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.

A military source told SANA reporter on Monday that 3 hideouts for terrorists were completely destroyed with all weapons and ammunition inside them in the villages of al-Rama and Mara’yan in Idleb countryside. The source added that a unit of the armed forces clashed with an armed terrorist group in Jouret Hawwa in Hama, killing all its members, among them Hani Mohammad Sarea’i.

Terrorists Suffer Heavy Losses in Deir Ezzor

A unit of the armed forces inflicted heavy losses on terrorists’ gatherings in Deir Ezzor city and countryside, inflicting direct losses upon them.

SANA quoted a source in the province as saying that the armed forces targeted a gathering of terrorists in al-Rashidieh neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city, killing numbers of them and injuring others. In Deir Ezzor countryside, the source said that a unit of the armed forces eliminated a terrorist group affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra in al-Mayadeen, while another unit killed and injured a number of terrorists near Deir Ezzor airport.

Terrorists Attack Daraa Telephone Center, Causing Severe Damage to It

An armed terrorist group attacked the Daraa Telephone Center on Sunday evening, burning switchboards and its generators and caused severe damage to the five-stories building estimated at SYP 900 million. A source in the province said that the attack caused an outage of landline and internet services in all areas in Daraa city and al-Sad road due to the damage caused to the center and towers, adding that repairing the center and returning it to service may take several months.

Terrorists Seize Equipment for UNDOF Forces in Daraa Countryside

Units of the armed forces clashed with an armed terrorist group in Daraa city, killing and injuring its members.

The terrorist Abdul-Rahman Salem al-Mahameed was identified among the dead. An official source said that an army unit seized equipment owned by the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) positioned between Maaraba and Jemlah towns, and carried them to Beit Ara and Koya towns.
